A few things to note for diagrams:
1) All labeling of parts must be in lower case as writing in Upper Case represents an Abbreviation Eg: PCT, CSF
2)Do not make arrow heads while labeling. Arrow heads indicate the flow of something, like blood.
3) All labellings must be towards the right of the diagram as it must be easier for the examiner to check the labellings. Examiners are usually in a hurry so they may miss out something you might have labeled on the left so this norm. Moreover, the examiners mark on the right hand side column, so they subconsciously are directed towards the right column of you page.
3). For the right hand side labelings, consider a few exceptions. Like V.S. of the eye or theor the Uterus and Penis where there are more than 10 labelings.
4). Your diagram must occupy only half a page. Not more, not less.
Hope This Helps,
All The Best!
