Paper Proposal, Psychoactive Drugs, Spring 2012 1 Overview The purpose of the proposal is to help you 1. Identify a topic and thesis for your paper (see Paper Overview) 2. Identify relevant sources 3. Receive feedback for use on your final paper. This does not mean it is not important: if there is nothing to comment on, it is very likely you will have a difficult time meeting the criteria for the final paper. The Paper Proposal is due by 11:59 PM, Wednesday, 3/28/12. Before you turn in your proposal, you may want to make sure you have checked everything below. Late papers will have 10% of the total points deducted per day, including weekends. A paper is considered turned in when it is correctly submitted to Turnitin. Terms in bold are explained in more depth in the Paper Overview. Topics / Thesis You can choose from a number of topics, but make sure that you have selected something that lends itself to writing a thesis. See the Paper Project Overview for details.
