FASHION DESIGNING PAPER 2 (PRACTICAL) (Maximum Marks: 30) (Time allowed: Three hours) (Candidates are allowed additional 15 minutes for only reading the paper. They must NOT start writing during this time.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Answer Question 1 (Compulsory). Attempt Question 2 and Question 3, selecting one of the two given options, in each question. The intended marks for questions or parts of questions are given in brackets [ ]. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Question 1 [2] (ii) Prepare a design for a scarf on the white cotton fabric (12" 12") provided, using any two techniques of Tie and Dye, with a single colour. Write the procedure of dyeing the sample. Mention the techniques used. (iii) Tie and dye the given fabric following the procedure written by you. [5] (iv) Iron and submit the finished sample to the Examiner. [1] (i) Question 2 [2] [5] Attempt any one of the following: (i) Launder the cotton dupatta (chunari), following the appropriate procedure. finishing to the dupatta and leave it for drying. Iron and fold it. Show the finished sample to the Examiner. (ii) Repair work: Give OR (a) Write the procedure for repairing a hole in the given cloth by patch work, depending on the size of the hole. (b) Repair the given cloth by patch work. The finished sample should be 2 5 inches in length and 1 inch in width. Show the finished sample to the Examiner.
