What The Heart Of The Young Man Said To The Psalmist.
Tell me not, in mournful numbers,
Life is but an empty dream!
For the soul is dead that slumbers,
And things are not what they seem.

Life is real! Life is earnest!
   And the grave is not its goal;
Dust thou art, to dust returnest,
Was not spoken of the soul.

Not enjoyment, and not sorrow,
   Is our destined end or way;
But to act, that each to-morrow
   Find us farther than to-day.

Art is long, and Time is fleeting,
And our hearts, though stout and brave,
Still, like muffled drums, are beating
   Funeral marches to the grave.

In the world’s broad field of battle,
   In the bivouac of Life,
Be not like dumb, driven cattle!
Be a hero in the strife!

Trust no Future, howe’er pleasant!
Let the dead Past bury its dead!
Act,— act in the living Present!
   Heart within, and God o’erhead!

Lives of great men all remind us
We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
   Footprints on the sands of time;

Footprints, that perhaps another,
   Sailing o’er life’s solemn main,
A forlorn and shipwrecked brother,
   Seeing, shall take heart again.

Let us, then, be up and doing,
   With a heart for any fate;
Still achieving, still pursuing,
Learn to labor and to wait.

This post is for the newcomers:
Hello, 2k19 ICSEians!! You wouldn't be knowing who I am. So let me introduce myself, first!!
My name's AAYUSH JOSHI. A fellow 2k18 ICSEian. My interests are: exploring the world to the greatest possible depth, playing basketball, football and trying to swim(coz I haven't been able to swim yet). xD I also like to crack lame jokes all around, which can either amuse you or make your expression somewhat like this-------> " -_- ". xD

So, I know, why you guys came to respaper, to snatch hold of all the sample papers, notes and other stuff. But literally, I'm saying, you guys are on a journey, a beeeeautiful one, which you'll enjoy!! You'll meet students from all around India, who'll clear your doubts, provide you company and will give you a good time to spend here. I bet that you'll never really think that you've wasted MBs of data on res(except when you hang out on a chat for too long). So, I personally suggest you fresh people to not to waste much time on chat as it is addictive for many(like me) but thankfully enough, I discovered that chat page after boards were all over. During my class 10th journey, I missed out on some tips which I don't want you guys to miss, I committed numerous blunders, which I don't want you guys to commit. Some tips for you new people:

1) Come to chat only if you have to freshen up your mind, or if you want some company or if you want an instant answer to some query and someone is present there who can answer. Don't hang out there for too long(it'll waste your time).

2) Focus on your studies if you want a goood percentage, study with the will of knowing about the very place you live in (yes, our world), study strategically, rather than just holding the book in front of you for hours and hours together. Keep a knowledge of every topic in your textbook, if its not too high level but focus more on the topics specified in the syllabus. And the most, most, most important thing:
READ AND TRY TO UNDERSTAND THE TOPIC YOU'RE STUDYING, NEVER CRAM, AFTER GOING THROUGH THE TOPIC, JOT DOWN THE IMPORTANT POINTS , PREFERABLY ON THE FREE SPACE IN THE BOOK OR ON SOME PAPER FLAGS AND STICK THEM IN YOUR BOOK ITSELF. THIS IS THE BEST WAY TO REMEMBER A TOPIC FOR LONG.
If you're not able to memorise some maths formulae, or some History/Civics or Geography topics, just make a nice chart of the main points of the topic and stick it in the place most frequented by you(no problem even if it's the toilet xD). I stuck it on the fridge door. xD ( I'm interested in food also).

3) If you have any doubt (even if it's the silliest anyone can imagine), drop it on the Q/A page. I'll help if I can. (Mainly, I can be of some help in science, maths, computer applications), may be somewhat History&Civics and Geography(my weakest subject ever). But, if I can, I'll help in other subjects too.

4) For more info, stay tuned!! I also gotta prepare for a tough examination, two indeed:- 12th boards and JEE. So, may be I'll be less frequent in appearing here but I'll surely help, if I possess the capability to do so. If you want any study tips or want some help, inbox me.

5) Last for now but not the least:- " TAKE A LOOK AT THE RESULT WALL OF ANY YEAR YOU WANT ON RES OR ASK OTHER ICSEians, AT LEAST 95% OF THEM WILL TELL THAT ENGLISH PLAYED THE EVIL ROLE. ICSE IS LENIENT IN MARKING OF ALMOST ALL SUBJECTS EXCEPT ENGLISH. SO, PLEASE, READ THE POEMS THOROUGHLY, TRY TO MAKE OUT ITS SYMBOLIC MEANING, READ STORIES THOROUGHLY, FILL YOUR WHOLE WORKBOOK, IF POSSIBLE, THEN, TWICE, SEARCH FOR MORE AND MORE QUESTIONS AND SOLVE THEM ALL. DON'T LET THIS ONE SUBJECT SPOIL YOUR RESULT, AS IT HAS DONE OURS.
Do follow my tips and you'll surely be standing tall one day!!

Thanks for reading, guys, please like this and do subscribe to our channel.... heeyyyy.. I forgot, this isn't a youtube video!! xD
Anyways, byeee!!

Class ChaArray contains an array of n characters (n<=100). You may assume that the array contains only the letters of the English alphabet. Some of the members functions/methods of ChaArray are given below.

Class name:	ChaArray.
Data members/instance variables:
Char ch[]	an array of characters
int size	the size of array of characters.
Members functions/methods:
ChaArray()	constructor to assign to initialize instance variables to null.
ChaArray(char c[])	constructor to assign characters array c to the instance variable.
void displayArray()	to display the list of n characters.
void move()	to move all the upper case letter to the right side of the array and the lower case letters to the left side of array without using any standard sorting technique
e.g. input : t D f s X v d

     output: t d f s v X D

Specify the class ChaArray giving the details of the two constructors and the functions void displayArray() and void move() only. You need to write the main function.

Hello you crazy people!

So what's up? (don't reply "sky" or I'll personally come to thrash you xD)

You know, life has strange ways. I just woke up from a power nap(Don't judge: I DO power naps xD), and my mind was like," Hey idiot! Remember a place which brought you face to face with your crazier side?" And I was instantly reminded of this helluva place, where I made friends...nah! Who am I kidding? You're not my friends.....

You guys are family.

Okay. Emotions aside (phew!), I was so lost in my life till now, that I had (almost) forgotten about this place. And you might think I knew that yesterday was results day, but honestly, I didn't.

It was to my great amazement that I saw people posting their percentage on qa. I didn't get to know about the results, 'cause I had been away from Internet for a while, and woke so late today, that I didn't read that thing called the newspaper. So you can imagine my excitement when I got to know about this.

To each and everyone who passed, great!

To everyone who scored above 70%, great!

To everyone who scored above 80%, great!

To everyone who scored above 90%, great!

To everyone who scored above 100%, okay. Now THAT is not great, 'cause you don't deserve that kind of a score if you don't know percentages are never more than 100 xD.

Seriously, it might sound offensive to some, but I don't want to speak anything but truth. Its GREAT and WONDERFUL that some of you guys got soooooo many marks, but let's face it: It really doesn't matter.

I've spent one whole year with that Marksheet, and frankly speaking, I've had a better relationship with my tablecloth: at least people see it when they come to my room! That marksheet brought home only few opportunistic guests to my home, the day after the results, and forced me to run to the shop to buy snacks for them. All work, and no play!

Then, it brought me a teeny-tiny bit of pseudo-respect from some godforsaken people, and that's it. Since then, it's lying in a file, with some other useless certificates: surrounded, yet secluded.

To say it in the language of Ross(from FRIENDS) : We are on a break!!

My motive here, though, is not to take anything away from your success. You deserve all tha accolades you will get. But I want you guys to learn something more from this. I want you to have a greater sense of achievement: This was probably the first public exam that you RIPPED apart!!!!!

And even if you didn't live up to your expectations, I want you to feel proud: proud that you made through one of the toughest boards.

And even if you scored high, I want you to remain modest: modest because this is the first, and not the last of all the many challenges you'll face.

To put it in perspective: You have your 12th boards (if you are not pursuing Medical/Engineering, 'cause the latter should really not give a rat's sh*t about boards, and focus on better exams), your Competitive exams, and more importantly: Life.

Life is the biggest challenge you'll face, but also the easiest if you have the right attitude. You'll land in situations which will test you better than just cramming some random king's birthdate. They will test your soul.

And I want to clarify: I'm not being pessimistic. I am being realistic. I am one of those, who wouldn't wonder whether the glass is half empty or half full. I would just pick it up and drink.

And that's the best thing to do! Don't thing life is good or life is bad: Just embrace it for what it is!

Okay. Enough preaching like a yogi, let's come to business. I think many of you must be confused about the future. If you are, then let me in on the confusion, because hey! I was too in a place like you!

So, keep celebrating no matter what the result was. Make it a point to party HARDER than the dumb city(shitty) topper who is still crying about that one mark. Live life KING size, even if you think you are the rat troubling the king. xD

And a very important query in public interest: Yashaswini, what was your English score????

Count your blessings guys!
Ta-ta!!

P.S. : A cool quote which I feel fits somehow:

"Life is short: Smile while you still have teeth :)"

Hey Guys!!
I'm so proud to see all of your results! I scored a 96.6 and I am pretty happy about it.
I scored less marks in English (89) .
On the other hand I got 99 in Hindi, 100 in C.A. which is good for me.
the surprise was Science and H.C.G. (97 and 98 respectively) which was totally unexpected because I was weak in those subjects. Thanks to this community for helping me get such amazing marks and the only way I can repay Res is by helping the next Batch coming along. Will you help me?
Anyways I'm really happy for all of you and wish you success for your future endeavors.
All The Best in Life.

The rate at which solar energy is received by every square metre of area directly facing the sun is 1400 W. A rectangular solar heater of side 2m by 2.5m working at 50% efficiency utilizes this energy to heat water filled completely in a cubical containers of side 1 m. What is the time required (in seconds) to raise the temperature of water by 1 degree Celsius. The heat capacity of the container assumed to be negligible and assume the sun to be directly overhead on the container.
