Find the resistance of another tungsten wire whose length is thrice the first wire and is 4 times thicker than the first. [2] e) With the help of a diagram show the path of a ray of monochromatic light which undergoes minimum deviation through an equilateral prism. (label all the required angles) [2] SECTION-B (Answer all questions) Question 4 a) i. Show by means of a ray diagram the formation of image formed when a coin is dropped inside a beaker containing water. [2] ii. State the physical significance of critical angle. [1] iii. Write the relation between the refractive index and critical angle of incidence [1] b) 100 g of hot water at 60 0C is added to cold water at 20 0C contained in a copper calorimeter of mass 200 g such that resultant temperature of mixture is 40 0C. Find the mass of cold water contained in copper calorimeter. [ Given SHC of Cu= 400 J Kg -1 K -1 and SHC of water = 4200 J Kg -1 K -1] [3] c) Different sounds are heard when a bucket is placed below a tap of water. [3] i. Explain why does this occur. ii.
