Hello! Recently there was confusion regarding Type Casting.
According to Syllabus Booklet
Type Casting = Type Conversion (and not Explicit Type Casting that is stated in books like APC or Sumita Arora) becuase they have written :
Introduce the concept of type casting. That's it. So it's understood that Type Casting= Type Conversion as per the previous year marking schemes and syllabus booklet too as evidences.

(1) Jet streams refers to swiftly blowing winds in the tropopause at an altitude 5-10 km above the Sub-Tropical High Pressure belt.
It splits into Westerly Jet and Easterly Jet when intercepted by Himalayas.
Mango showers refers to summer rain received in parts of Kerala which is beneficial for early ripening of mango.
Cherry blossoms refers to summer showers received in parts of Karnataka which is beneficial in early ripening of coffee crop.
(2) If it is perennial canals over inundation canals,
Inundation canals are flood-water canalsdrawn from head of rivers without any regulating system hence fields get over-watered and waterlogged and get water only when rivers are in flood.
In perennial canals, water is drawn from the head of rivers by means of a barrage or dam to regulate the flow hence the fields get water unifromly throughout the year.
(3) Expressways facilitate swift and smooth transport between important towns/cities without traffic signals, speed breakers, blockages etc. Both sides are fenced so that men and animals do not cross the road. They have six or eight lanes and speeds are maintained well over 120 kmph.

Westerly depressions are temperate cyclones originating in Mediterranean Sea brought to North Western India by Westerly Jet Stream. They bring cold waves but also light rainfall which is beneficial for early germination of rabi crops like wheat and barley.
In North East monsoons, tropical cyclones originating over Bay Of Bengal and Andaman Sea bring torrential rainfall to Eastern coast of India. It gives Tamil Nadu coast the wettest and most disturbed part of the whole year. They cause floods and destruction to property.

Wall pressure is the pressure exerted by the cell wall in the cell contents when the cell is turgid.
Progesterone prepares the uterus to receive the embryo by stimulating supply of uterine wall with a lot of blood. When implantation occurs, its level is increased and it prevents maturation of another follicle
Oestrogen is the female hormone which controls female secondary sexual characters.

Um...the meaning is correct, but r u sure the context is? Here, they're not talking about anything to do with believing... They're talking about two opinions and which one to consider. So i guess the answer is over. I'll tell u why. If the question was ' Do you take his word ___it?', the answer would be for. Because the meaning is that the person is asking whether the one he is talking to, believes the guy being talked about or not. But here, the question is ' do u take his word ____mine?'. This means that the person is asking someone whether he believes what he has told him or what someone else has told him, I.e., if he takes the other guy's word over his word, or believes what the other guy has told him, instead of believing what he has said. So the answer is over. I know it's a bit confusing and that my explanation is vague, but try and read it. You'll understand. P.S - I'm not one of the downvoters. Pls don't get me wrong.
Lurlordurzon partitioned Bengal for the following reasons:
To demonstrate the strength of the British
To divide Hindu's and Muslims
To curb the growing nationalist upsurge in the country
sdfg 13 hours ago
No.. she is asking about the motives he said not the underlying ones
anmj 13 hours ago
Exactly, the points given by her are the true/concealed reasons why British wanted to partition of Bengal
sdfg 13 hours ago
I am talking about the apparent superficial ones

Can I also write that East Bengal was neglected and under governed so to provide new schools and employment opportunities to the Muslim Population of East Bengal, British preferred Partition?
Plasmolysed cell is the cell in which there is a shrinkage of the protoplasm along with the withdrawal of the cell membrane from the cell wall. The cell In this plasmolysed STATE is called flaccid. (The condition is called flaccidity)
If my answer is wrong, pleases correct me.

Then root cells will become 'plasmolysed' when excess fertiliser is added to the soil right? But this was marked wrong in my school and when I asked for the answer, they said the answer was flaccid
Umbilical cord connects the placenta with the foetus. Hence, it facilitates the diffusion of oxygen and nutrients from the mother to the foetus and the diffusion of carbon dioxide, urea and other waste from the foetus to the the mother.
Hello, I'm sorry, but I'm not wrong too. Punjab does receive rainfall in summer as well-Punjab receives rain from the S.W.M. Arabian Sea Branch. It also receives rain from the S.W.M. Bay of Bengal Branch. In winter it receives rain from the Westerly depression coming in from the Mediterranean Sea.
As for me, I found it difficult because even before reading the chapter, I started to solve the questions. I would suggest you on reading the chapter thoroughly, memorising and understanding the topics carefully and obviously then comes the practice!

see frnd blushing is the suuden reddning of the face...it is not under our control...i know u can be confused that we blush in some particular time...then why is it not the conditioned???see we donot blush in response to one particular stimulus...in case of other conditioned ones we do response only to that particular stimulus...for xample when a teacher enters the class we stand up.....i.e. it is in ur control...u may or may not stand(though standing is a crtsy..i am using it jst for example..plzz pardon me)but blushing is caused by embarrassment, shame or modesty. This is faced by a person because of psychological reason...which is out of ur control and obviously an involuntary action....so it is an unconditional reflex....hope it will help u frnd;)

But the frequency of these two sounds may be diferent, how can you come to the conclusion that their frequencies are same? Is it because the data given is not enough and we assume their frequencies are equal?
the ques is incomplete...i think.... it should have been the ration of ampltude of two waves with same pitch is 3:4....then the ration of their freq would have been 1:1(as pitch is directly proprsnal to freq))

disinterested and selfless concern for the well-being of others.
"some may choose to work with vulnerable elderly people out of altruism"
synonyms: unselfishness, selflessness, self-sacrifice, self-denial; consideration, compassion, kindness, goodwill, decency, nobility, public-spiritedness; generosity, magnanimity, liberality, open-handedness, free-handedness, big-heartedness, lavishness, benevolence, beneficence, philanthropy, humanitarianism, charity, charitableness; literarybounty, bounteousness
"they supported the measures not out of altruism but out of self-interest"
varnzkatz 1 day ago
Many a times kindness and selflessness can be the same thing u know...it doesn't have to be written "kindness" for it to mean so..philosophically speaking, kindness arises out of selflessness and selflessness is a virtue of kindness...they're complementary concepts/ideas.
varnzkatz 1 day ago
And the title with the word altruism is not wrong either, provided the question resonates the same emotion to be portrayed through the answer. If they ask us to write about people's bravery, the word altruistic wouldn't be the first one they'd be looking for in an answer. But if the question asks us to write about how selfless or kind they were, it would only be appropriate to accept that using the word altruistic would be no less wonderful for a title. So in the end, it all depends on the question and what it requires us to encompass in our answer.

Jai veer pratap, sdfg, both of u, listen, I'm not saying that one of u is right. Don't get me wrong. Both of u are correct. Jai veer pratap, u r right in saying that it's a good title. But I agree with sdfg completely when he says that we must consider the question. He never said it's a bad title. All he was asking u to do is to give a title based on the question. He is completely correct in saying so. And Jai you're not wrong about the title either, but considering the question before giving the title is necessary. Otherwise the title becomes wrong.
varnzkatz 1 day ago
You can't say that the title is appropriate in all cases Jai, listen to sdfg also..He has a point and a very valid one too. It's a beautiful title, but u won't get marks if the question doesn't require u to write about the kindness or selfless of people.

Exactly! That's all he was trying to say....Now if u guys can stop arguing, shall I resume my studies? I just can't study when an argument on words is going on y'know? I'm a logophile😊😊😊

I am able to upload only two pages at a time.I have uploaded the climate question but for some reason it appears huge....you will have to zoom out if you want to see.....does anyone have a solution?
Why people are being jointly skeptical to someone who was just helping. It does not matter what his/her real identity is and he was giving some legit helpful tips. And those who are being curious about his/her identity and calling it fake do not have the courage to reveal their identity for privacy reasons and just boasting about their schools and teachers if someone points out his/her mistakes.
People asking you to prove your identity doesn't count as hate. I don't see why you would take offense from that and think 'leaving the website for our benifit' is the only solution. Helping people here being a senior is cool. but using fake ID, not so cool. It's just that some people really don't care if you are the real Tezan Sahu, some really do.
lets say for the sake of argument that his is a fake id, but even then, so what? hes trying to help us going out of his way for doing it. why is anyone concerned that hisis a fake id
? u guys are really stupid
Hey, why don't you put to rest all doubts about your identity by posting on your google+ page that you are on respaper with "sahutezan" ID? By the way, why not "tezansahu" as the ID (taken by the real guy?!)
frnd in icse generally all ans are checked on the basis of points...better u try to give eight relevant points depending on the question asked......and donot give any introduction or conclusion...and truth is in my prelim xam i got seven and half........anyone can get eight on eight easily....:-)so,plz keep prctsng@@@:-p
